Well, I add one more list to all those published at the end of each year: the most read articles on this page.

Besides loving making lists, I find that the holiday season sometimes comes with a lot of hustle and bustle. Commitments, parties, shopping, nostalgia… anyway, It's a time we often attach an emotional burden to that can overwhelm us. So why don't we slow down?

That's my invitation, to take a moment to read and relax.

I'm glad this article is part of the list, as it's one of my favorites. Optimism is sometimes portrayed as a mandate. Being happy 24/7 is an unrealistic goal. A vital key to mental health is accepting all of our emotions…yes, including the negative ones.
