I've chosen a TED Talk as my first recommendation on the blog. There are so many that, put like that, it doesn't seem very original, but the content is very interesting. It's also a very short talk... so if you have five minutes, spend them listening and getting to know graphic designer Stefan Sagmeister.
A whole typographic experiment was inspired by one of Sagmeister's diary pages. During his talk, he explains how he expresses simple and clear messages through highly creative methods that play with design and perception.
The design, therefore, is the star of her presentation. But I'd like to highlight the page from her diary that inspired it all. Maybe it can inspire us too.
Things I've learned in my life so far:
- Helping others helps me.
- Having guts always works for me.
- Thinking life will be better in the future is stupid, I have to live now.
- Starting a charity is surprisingly easy.
- Not being honest works against me.
- Everything I do always comes back to me.
- Assuming things is suffocating.
- Drugs feel great at first and turn into a nightmare later.
- Over time I get used to everything and take many things for granted.
- Money doesn't make me happy.
- Traveling alone helps me have a different perspective on life.
- Keeping a journal supports personal development.
- Trying to look good limits me.
- Material luxuries are best enjoyed in small doses.
- Worrying doesn't solve anything.
- Complaining is foolish. I act or I forget.
- Actually doing the things I set out to do increases my overall level of satisfaction.
- Everyone thinks they're cool.
- Low expectations are a good strategy.
- Whatever I want to explore professionally, it's best to try it for myself first.
- Anyone who is sincere is interesting.
Look at the TED talk and don't forget to turn on Spanish subtitles.

Enjoy!
