While each person is different and has their own needs and circumstances, the answer to our question is very simple. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In fact, I think you already know: Chances are if you&#039;ve already considered seeking psychological help, it&#039;s because you know you would benefit from it.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">There may be many reasons to seek therapy, but in general, if you feel there&#039;s something you want to change about yourself (thoughts, beliefs, and emotions) and you don&#039;t know how, seeing a psychologist is a good option. It may also be that something, which you can&#039;t yet define, is bothering you. <strong>That discomfort, which is difficult to express in words, is telling you that it&#039;s time to begin your therapeutic process.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">It is often difficult to take that first step and schedule an appointment, but it is important to remember that taking action and seeking professional help is essential. <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">demonstrates your commitment to your own mental and emotional well-being. Furthermore, psychotherapy<\/span>\u00a0It is a strong sign of determination. <strong>Determination to live in an intentional and full way.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Sometimes we think the best way to deal with emotional distress is to ignore or deny it. But this can backfire and make us feel alone. <strong>as if we were carrying an emotional burden heavier than we feel we can carry.<\/strong> Psychotherapy can help you lessen that burden.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As you can see, there are no hard and fast rules about when to seek therapy or psychological counseling.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<h3>But then\u2026 when do I have to start my therapy?<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ok, if you still don&#039;t trust your internal compass much, or like me, you can&#039;t resist lists, here are the most frequent reasons for consultation in my practice.<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Psychotherapy can help you if:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2714 You feel that anxiety or fear blocks you<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2714 You want to thrive in the face of life&#039;s changes and transitions<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2714 Your emotions cause you distress and you feel overwhelmed<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2714 You want to reevaluate and delve deeper into your goals and life plan\/decision making<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2714 You think you are not reaching your potential due to stress, perfectionism, and insecurities.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2714 You have intrusive thoughts that keep you from enjoying your daily life.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2714 You want to feel like YOU are the one in control of your life<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<h3>A final reflection\u2026<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Psychology is interested in human behavior and thought, and many people can benefit from an empathetic, safe, and fully personalized space.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The Psychologist <a href=\"https:\/\/ideas.ted.com\/7-ways-to-practice-emotional-first-aid\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Guy Wench <\/a>puts it in a very simple way:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">If you have a cut, you wrap it with a bandage and, to treat an infection, you take antibiotics without question, right?
