The​ Most​ Damaging​ Myth​ ​about​ Mental Illness

About a year ago, I wrote an article regarding how controversial mental illness can be. Mental health has always been surrounded by myths and unrequired judgement that, in the end,​ ​ can​ ​ prevent​ ​ someone​ ​ from​ ​ actually​ ​ seeking​ ​ help​ ​ and​ ​ feeling​ ​ better.

“A ​ ​ mental ​ ​ illness ​ ​ is ​ ​ just ​ ​ a ​ ​ fancy ​ ​ way ​ ​ of ​ ​ naming ​ ​ a ​ ​ person’s ​ ​ weakness”
